CuriousLove.com is a 100% lesbian dating site, so you will have no worries of being contacted by 55 year old men. Also, the site is completely free for members, which is obviously a huge draw if you're on a tight budget. However, we can't say we give them our full stamp of approval for quite a few reasons. Curious Love - Pros

• CuriousLove.com doesn't charge members a dime - it's 100% free.
• The site is completely dedicated to lesbians, and doesn't even let men register.
• Audio/Video profiles are a nice perk. However, most features are a little buggy, and aren't of the quality of a site like Chemistry.com.
• Site offers a "Who's Online?" feature that lets you know who is online at the moment.

Curious Love - Cons

• Member base is very small compared to the larger online dating sites.
• Features and software are a bit buggy. In fact, the whole site is fairly slow, and we encountered quite a few load time issues.
• Profiles don't have much info on them - I completed my whole profile in under two minutes. Not exactly what we wanted to see.

Full Review

At first glance CuriousLove.com seems like an awesome option for lesbians looking to date online. The site's totally free, and only allows women to sign up. However, a closer look reveals that the site really doesn't offer much, and all it has going for it is the free service.

When you sign up at Curious Love you'll be required to fill out your profile so other users can get to know you before contacting you. The profile consists of 25 or so questions, most of which are multiple choice, and some of which are open ended questions such as "Explain yourself in a paragraph or less?"

After completing the profile, you have to wait for CuriousLove.com to approve your profile and make sure you didn't post any inappropriate content. Once your profile is approved you can then start searching for other women, or evaluate your "matches". We're not really sure what the qualifications are for a "match", because the women we were matched to were nothing like the personality we used for the profile.

Some of the features that Curious Love offers include a chat room, a mailbox, instant messaging, a forum, and an "XXX movie room" - although that portion of the site doesn't seem to be working at the moment. One of the features we enjoyed was the voice profiles. You can record a .mp3 file right through the site, and use it as your voice profile so that other's can hear you introduce yourself. The site makes it easy to record and set it up, so you don't have to be Internet-savvy to understand it.

At the moment there are only 20 users online, so it's evident that this site isn't nearly as popular as one of the major dating sites. That's the main reason we recommend sticking to a bigger site - although the idea of the site is great, it just doesn't have enough members.
